Install Absolute Data Protect 1.0

Install Absolute Data Protect by Absolute Software installs the Absolute Data Protect agent on your device, enabling remote data protection and recovery features managed through the Absolute web console. Once activated and linked to an Absolute account, it helps safeguard sensitive information and support device recovery if a laptop or desktop is lost or stolen.

Key capabilities include:

• Device location: View the device’s last known location using available signals (such as Wi‑Fi and IP data).
• Remote lock: Lock the device and display a custom message to help deter unauthorized access.
• Remote data delete: Initiate deletion of selected files or folders to protect confidential information.
• File recovery: Retrieve important files remotely from the affected device.
• Centralized management: Configure policies and run security actions from a secure online dashboard for single users or entire fleets.
• Tamper resistance: When supported by device firmware, Absolute’s persistence technology helps the agent remain installed and reachable.

Notes:

• Requires an Absolute account and an active subscription to use remote features.
• An internet connection is needed for the device to receive commands.
• Administrative privileges may be required to install.
• Compatible with supported versions of Windows and macOS (refer to Absolute’s documentation for current system requirements).

This installer alone does not provide protection until the device is enrolled and activated in the Absolute console.
